Dr. David K. Funt is an aesthetic plastic surgeon in private practice in Long Island, New York. He is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgeons. He is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, the Northeastern Society of Plastic Surgeons and the New York Regional Society of Plastic Surgeons. Dr. Funt is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

Dr. Funt received his undergraduate education at Cornell University here he received a Bachelor of Science degree with distinction. He then went to George Washington University where he received his M.D. degree with distinction and was elected to membership in Alpha Omega Alpha the medical honor society. Dr. Funt then performed his residency in general surgery and then plastic surgery at the Montefiore Hospital and Medical Center and the hospital of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He also underwent additional training in burn and microvascular surgery.

Since the completion of his training Dr. Funt has been active in resident teaching as an Assistant Clinical Professor at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He instructs residents in plastic surgery both at their teaching hospitals as well as in his own ambulatory surgical facility. Dr. Funt was awarded a Certificate of Advanced Education in Cosmetic Surgery by the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. He has lectured on numerous occasions on non-invasive cosmetic surgical techniques.

Recognized in his community and by his peers as an expert in cosmetic surgery he has been featured on multiple occasions on ABC news and WB11 news. He has been an invited lecturer at civic organizations discussing cosmetic surgery, as well as less invasive rejuvenation techniques including BOTOX®, Restylane®, Radiesse™, laser surgery, intense pulsed light (IPL treatment), and Inject-a-Lift.
